2023 LIVE B4U DIE SUMMIT
SPONSORS NEEDED!!!
The Live B4U Die Summit is a life-saving initiative of the Community Council of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc. (CCMA), that targets teenagers and youth. Businesses, educational institutions, churches, and individual sponsors are invited to partner with CCMA in our efforts to save and empower the lives of young people.
Our youth and teenagers are dying in alarming rates because of violence, poor choices, unhealthy lifestyles, and risky behavior. Community Council of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc. (CCMA) is committed to providing programs that constructively address these issues. The “Live B4U Die” Summit was created to focus on the leading causes of preventable deaths of young people and is always free to the public.
Previous Live B4U Die Summits were presented on June 13, 2009, at Central United Methodist Church; on Saturday, April 14, 2012, 11:00 am at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in downtown Atlanta; and on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Friendship Baptist Church. This timely summit is conducted in a funeral-style format, followed by an interactive “post-mortem” forum, to enlighten, educate, engage, and empower young people to live better lives.
It is projected that the 2023 Live B4U Die Summit will be held before the end of the school year on or around April 22, 2023, to enable more middle school and high school students to participate. The 2023 summit will focus on four leading causes of preventable deaths of young people: homicide, automobile accidents, suicide, and substance abuse. The 2023 venue is being confirmed.
Youth violence is a serious problem in our communities, and frequently results in the death of teenagers and youth. Far too many youths are also being killed in automobile accidents. Still others are taking their own lives. Although, young people may be legally responsible for these fatal consequences, we are collectively responsible for the dysfunctional culture, created by apathy, indulgence, and misguidance that have inhibited their spiritual, personal, and social growth. Instead of burying our young people, we must help them to “bury the madness”.
Community Council of Metropolitan Atlanta invites educational institutions, organizations, businesses, churches, and individual sponsors to partner with us in this life saving initiative. Together, we can make a real difference.
